It's the last day of classes today!!

I tell you, having classes that only last for 3 weeks sounds good on paper, but actually doing them? Wowza, they sure pack a whole course into such a short amount of time.

So this post is going to be short and sweet, so I can celebrate never having to take an exam in my LIFE. That's right! I graduate in May! Right after my practicum.

So to start off my day, I made one of the quickest and easiest recipes ever. So enjoy! I'll be doing more complicated recipes later, I promise.

  • sliced almonds
  • salted butter
  • honey
  • brown sugar
  • vanilla extract

Toasted Almond Granola

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Place the oats and almonds on a cookie sheet and broil for 1 minute. Turn off the oven.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan on medium heat. Add in the honey, brown sugar and vanilla, and stir in for around 1-2 minutes. Add in the oat mixture and stir in until the oats are coated.
  • Return to the cookie sheet and bake at 300°F for around 20 minutes.
