This Sand Pudding Cups recipe makes such an easy summer dessert. The perfect sweet treat for your next pool party.
Since Memorial Day is basically the unofficial start to summer, I am going to start sharing summer recipes now. And these Sand Pudding Cups are such a fun dessert idea, I am going to start making them for every occasion. Pool parties, beach parties, birthday parties.. doesn’t matter. I think that these sandy beach pudding cups are the perfect dessert for any occasion.
My toddler is now requesting these pudding sand cups all the time now. One of the reasons that he asks is that he loves playing with the drink umbrella. But he also loves a good theme, and he loves the beach theme on these sand dessert cups.
I’ve always seen worms pudding cups, so I think that this a fun twist to make it more of a fun summer treat.
Sand Pudding Cups Ingredients
These sand pudding recipe are made with only 4 ingredients! All you need is:
- graham crackers
- vanilla pudding cups
- gummy candy belt
- teddy grahams
Equipment
- rolling pin (or food processor)
- mini umbrellas
Tips
Make your own pudding. Instead of buying pre-made dessert pudding cups, use instant vanilla pudding mix. Then serve the creamy pudding in plastic cups.
Replace the graham cracker crumbs. Use cookie crumbs instead! Vanilla cookies or vanilla sandwich cookies (such as Golden Oreos) work well. Vanilla wafers are also a great alternative.
Swap out the candy belts. For a healthier alternative, some fruit leather strips works well for the towels in the beach scene.
Use a different flavor pudding. While vanilla makes it look more like sand on the beach, you could also use banana pudding to get the same effect. Chocolate pudding may look a little too much like dirt than sand.
