Even though it is basically winter, I can't stop eating ice cream. It doesn't matter how cold it gets, I am going to have some creamy ice cream for dessert. But this weekend, I was out of ice cream and it snowed so much that I didn't want to leave the house. So I made this homemade ice cream.

Tips

Enhance the eggnog flavor. I find that when I make my own eggnog, it has so much more flavor. If you only have eggnog that you bought from the grocery store, try mixing in some ground nutmeg to give it a more eggnog taste.

Make Eggnog Protein Ice Cream: Mix in some vanilla protein powder into your Ninja Creami pint before putting it in the fridge.

To get that soft-serve texture: after the first spin, add a couple more Tablespoons of eggnog and set it to re-spin. Continue doing this until you reach your desired texture.

Add more flavor to this ice cream. This delicious eggnog ice cream makes such a good ice cream base to experiment with different flavors. Try mixing in some Nutella, coffee, or whatever flavors you like into this ice cream.
