It's December tomorrow! Can you believe it? Where does the time go?? And why have I not taken advantage of all the Black Friday deals to buy presents for everyone?

But what I have been doing is baking for the holidays. Expect a whole bunch of cookie recipes in the next couple of weeks, but FIRST! Let's get the Christmas started with some Christmas-themed rice krispie treats!

Since I started making Christmas themed rice krispie treats last year with my coal rice krispies, I nearly jumped at the chance of making these Christmas tree rice krispies when I saw them on Happy Go Lucky Blog for this holiday themed Secret Recipe Club assignment.

Kara, the mastermind behind Happy Go Lucky Blog, is very much like me. A teacher, a procrastinator and a night owl. We both love teaching, and have our blog as an extension of that love. If you want some great recipes or fun DIY projects, check out her blog! I am sure to be going back again to try my hand at some of her other recipes.

These were so incredibly fun to make! I am sure making these with your kids would be a blast, because even me making them alone at 7:00 AM was one of the funnest things I have done all week.

Granted, my past week was basically just marking essays and final exams. But I'm sure anyone who tries making these will be in the Christmas spirit in no time! And if you wanted another green holiday recipe, try this Grinch popcorn!
