I am obsessed with my Ninja Creami ice cream machine.

Ever since we went to visit a local creamery, my 2 year old toddler has been obsessed with ice cream. To the point that he is asking for some every day after dinner. While I would love to eat traditional ice cream every day, I want to try to promote healthier foods for my children while also upping their protein intake. So this Ninja Creami Chocolate Chip Protein Ice Cream is a game changer.

I have been experimenting with making protein ice cream recipes in my Ninja Creami over the past couple of weeks. When I tell you that this is one of my favorite Ninja Creami recipes, you better believe that it is good! The best part about it is that I don't feel guilty feeding it to my son every night. He still gets bowl of delicious ice cream, while also getting a little extra protein as well.

Tips

Storage: Place storage lid over any leftovers in your Ninja Creami pint, and store in the freezer. When ready to use, use the lite ice cream setting on your Ninja Creami machine.

Make it lower in calories. An easy way to reduce the amount of calories is to use your low calorie milk of choice and use sugar free vanilla pudding mix. Unsweetened almond milk and coconut milk from a carton are some healthier alternatives.

Experiment with different flavors. Instead of the chocolate chips, mix in your favorite toppings or mix ins to fit your taste preference. I personally love fresh berries and nuts as a healthier alternative to chocolate chips.
