Some call it Christmas Crack. Others call it saltine candy. Call it what you want, this Saltine Cracker Toffee is one of my favorite things to make over the holidays.

It is the classic cracker base with melted chocolate and chopped pecans on top. Basically your grandma's recipe. But in case you don't know it, here it is. I know people say that they are obsessed with things all the time, but I actually think that I am obsessed with this. It is SO good.

Tips

Storage: Store saltine cracker toffee in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week. You can also place it in a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months.

Use a different type of chocolate. For the melted chocolate, try using white chocolate or milk chocolate chips for a sweeter taste. If you want it less sweet, try dark chocolate chips. Or try butterscotch chips for something different!

Switch up the toppings. The best part about this saltine cracker candy is that it is the perfect base for whatever toppings you like. If you are doing it for the holiday season, try topping it with crushed-up candy canes or festive sprinkles. You can also swap out the pecans for your favorite nut, or just a simple sprinkle of sea salt.

Use different crackers. Instead of saltines, try using either ritz crackers or graham crackers for a sweeter version.
