I used to make granola all of the time. Every weekend, I would make a new batch. But it has been years since I made a new granola recipe just because it wasn't something my kids would eat, and frankly I didn't think I had enough time in the day.

Turns out, making granola doesn't have to be hard. Honestly, the hardest part about making this Nutella granola is waiting for the granola to cool. It's a good thing that my kids keep me so busy, because otherwise I would definitely burn myself trying to eat this granola before it has fully cooled.

My favorite way to enjoy this granola is over plain yogurt, or just by the handful. I'm already planning on making this granola as a snack to bring with me to work when school starts back up next month. It is such a simple and delicious recipe, I know that I am going to be making this over and over from now on.

Nutella Granola Ingredients

This crunchy granola is just made with 3 ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. All you need is;

  • Nutella (I love using my homemade Nutella, but any chocolate hazelnut spread will work)
  • honey
  • old fashioned oats

Equipment

A glass container filled with large clumps of Nutella Granola.

Tips

Storage: Store the granola in an airtight container (I use this as a granola jar) at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Can you replace the honey? The honey is what makes the clusters. A good substitute is golden syrup. I would not recommend maple syrup, as it won't produce the larger clusters that this granola has.

Add more chocolate. If you wanted to enhance the chocolate flavor, try mixing in a little bit of chocolate chips or chocolate chunks after this granola has cooled.

Try different mix-ins. If you want a more nutty flavor, add in some sunflower seeds, cashews, almonds or any nut or seed you like!
