I'm sure that you can all tell by now that my Ninja Creami machine is one of my favorite things in my kitchen. I mostly make traditional ice cream recipes because I used to spend way too much money on those every week. But now I am spending too much on heavy cream and whole milk. I'm switching it up this week and making a sorbet with 2 ingredients that are cheap, and I always have on hand.

This Ninja Creami Caramel Apple Sorbet is the perfect treat to start off the fall season with. Even though it doesn't use fresh apples, this refreshing frozen treat has all the fall flavors that you start craving around this time of year. And it is actually fairly healthy, so I am okay feeding this delicious treat to my 1 and 3 year old sons. They think that it's a decadent dessert, and I know that it has less sugar that most ice creams. So it is a win for everyone.

Ninja Creami Caramel Apple Sorbet Ingredients

This creamy dessert is made with just 2 simple ingredients. All you need is:

  • unsweetened applesauce
  • caramel sauce

Equipment

A small spoon taking a scoop of Ninja Creami Caramel Apple Sorbet, with Gala and Granny Smith apples in the background.

Tips

Make sure you freeze the Ninja Creami container on a level surface. Because the Ninja Creami blade needs to evenly hit every part of the frozen mixture, you need to make sure it freezes with a flat top.

Mix in some fresh fruit. If you want more of the classic apple pie flavors, add in some ground cinnamon and some cooked apple pieces. You can also add some apple pie filling if you would like it to be sweeter.

Add your favorite mix-ins. This sorbet has a super creamy texture. If you wanted more crunch to your sorbet, I would add some small pieces of diced apples, a little bit of caramel chips and a drizzle of caramel sauce, before setting it to mix-ins.

If it comes out powdery after the first spin: Place the container back in your Ninja Creami machine and use the re-spin function until you get a smooth texture.
