Hey beautiful people! Long time no see.
After a long and tiring week, I have two treats for you: a popcorn recipe and a $50 Uncommon Goods giveaway.
Have you heard of Uncommon Goods? I absolutely love the site! One of the greatest things about it is that lots of things are made from artists and small manufacturers. And they also never sell anything made of leather, feathers or fur. That is a great site in my books!
In the past, I have bought a tube wringer for my dad (which he loves), an equation clock for my boyfriend (because we are nerdy like that) and a perpetual calendar for pretty much everyone. That last one I love because you seriously will never need a calendar ever again!
Now with Valentine’s Day fast approaching, I have been browsing their site more and more for gift ideas. You can check out for yourself here all of their recommended Valentine’s Day gift ideas: and there are a LOT!

So what do you do on Valentine’s Day? In the 8 years that I have been with my fiance, I don’t think we have ever celebrated Valentine’s Day. When we did find the time to do something on that day, we just sat around at home and watched horror movies. Pure romancing right there.
Now this year, I am ready for a Valentine’s Day movie night with this popcorn bowl from Uncommon Goods. I mean, look at how beautifully made it is!
When I got this bowl in the mail, it also came with a little card talking about the artist who created this bowl, which was super cool. I got to know the story behind it, so I feel far more connected to this bowl than any of the other bowls I own.
But wait! Here comes the best part! At the bottom of the bowl…

There is a kernel sifter! Gone are the days where you need to sift through the kernels at the bottom of the bowl like a chump. As they drop to the bottom, they go through the small holes so you are only left with the good stuff in your bowl.
And when it’s time to wash the bowl out, you just take out the kernel sifter…
And your kernels are ready to be tossed in the compost.

Now that you know what a huge fan I am of Uncommon Goods, I hope you become one too by joining this giveaway.
If you still have no idea what to get your significant other for Valentine’s Day, this is the perfect solution! You can get crazy creative and unusual gifts that will be sure to impress.
The people over at Uncommon Goods makes it stupid simple for you to find the perfect gift. If you are shopping for your man, click here for some of their suggestions. I dare you to look through it and not find the perfect gift. It’s just impossible. My fiance has already shown interest in the Custom Lake Art Cribbage Board, but I think the Make Your Own Hot Sauce Kit sounds pretty darn cool.
If you are shopping for your woman (that doesn’t quite sound right, but I will go with it), you can click here to see their suggestions. Since I am a Vancouver girl and can never get enough umbrellas, this Crimson Heart Umbrella is just adorable if you ask me.
And in case you forgot, there is a popcorn recipe at the end of this post. Scroll all the way down for it. I promise you, it won’t disappoint!
