Cinnamon Sugar Crescent Roll Muffins, also known as Cruffins. This easy cruffin recipe is made with only 4 ingredients and ready in 25 minutes!
I think that one of my special skills is making different recipes with crescent dough.
The reason I love using a tube of dough rather than making homemade dough at home is because I hate the whole process of rolling dough. Getting out a rolling pin, making space to have a lightly floured work surface.. all that just sounds like more effort than I want to put in. Especially with 2 young kids running around. Well, one running and one crawling.
This Cinnamon Sugar Crescent Roll Muffins recipe is such an easy recipe to make, I have already made them twice this week! The best part is that it is ready in under 30 minutes, so I can make it even before the kids wake up in the morning.
My weekend is going to look like some easy cinnamon cruffins along with a cup of coffee. I can’t think of a better combination. It makes such a great breakfast treat or a nice mid-day snack for when you want to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Cinnamon Sugar Crescent Roll Muffins Ingredients
These easy cinnamon sugar cruffins are just made with 4 simple ingredients. All you need is:
- refrigerated crescent rolls
- unsalted butter
- white sugar
- ground cinnamon
Equipment
- Standard Muffin Tin
- Small Bowl
- Pastry Brush (or you can use the back of a spoon)
Tips
Storing leftover cruffins: Store cruffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Use crescent roll sheets. While these are less commonly available at my local grocery store, a sheet of crescent roll dough without perforated sides is a lot easier to work with in this recipe.
Make mini cruffins. Instead of making regular sized muffins, make shorter logs and place the mini rolls in a mini muffin pan. You will need to change the baking time, so keep an eye on them while they are in the oven. Take them out when they turn golden brown.
