Kinda sure these 2 ingredient Nutella fudge bites can make any day better. So I have been staying at school until at least 7 pm every day this week, and all I want to do when I get home is lay on my bed eating chocolate. And these past couple of weeks, this has been my chocolate of choice.

I was asking John what I should call these little bites of joy, and he told me to call them melt in your mouth chocolate lumps. It sounded good until the lumps part. Also, that doesn't tell you anything about them, or how amazingly easy these are to make!

You guys. This takes less than 5 minutes to make. And out of all of the desserts that I have ever made (and trust me, I make a LOT of desserts ), I can confidently say that these 2 ingredient Nutella fudge bites are in the top 5. Maybe even my favorite because of how easy they are to make. And you can make so many variations, like Marshmallow Nutella Cups or Yogurt Covered Raisin Nutella Cups.

Key Ingredients

All the ingredients needed to make 2 Ingredient Nutella Fudge laid out on a marble surface.
  • Nutella: I like the name brand, but any chocolate hazelnut spread will do. You can even replace this with cookie butter or even peanut butter if you like.
  • Coconut oil: There is no really good substitute for coconut oil. This allows the Nutella cups to harden, and gives it a richer taste. Do not replace with any other types of oil, otherwise they will not harden.

How To Make 2 Ingredient Nutella Fudge

Melted Nutella and coconut oil mixed together in a large glass bowl with a silicone spatula inside.

Step 1: In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt the Nutella and coconut oil in 30 second intervals, mixing until smooth.

A medium cookie scoop dividing the Nutella mixture in a mini muffin pan lined with mini paper liners.

Step 2: Divide the mixture evenly into a mini muffin pan lined with mini paper liners. Place in the freezer until hardened.

2 Ingredient Nutella Fudge Expert Tips

Do not store at room temperature! If they remain at room temperature the cups will not hold their shape and melt. They are best stored in either the fridge or freezer.

Paper liners are necessary. The Nutella fudge cups will stick to the mini muffin pan without paper liners. If you wanted to skip the mini muffin liners, you need to use a mini silicone muffin pan.

Add in your favorite mix-ins. For extra texture and flavor, add in some of your favorite toppings or mix-ins. Some mix-ins that I love are sprinkles, hazelnuts and Rice Krispies.

Use a medium cookie scoop to make it easier to divide the Nutella mixture evenly into the prepared muffin pan. I use this cookie scoop.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • ¼ cup coconut oil

Instructions

  • Line a mini muffin pan with paper liners. Set aside.
  • Place all of the ingredients in a microwave safe medium bowl. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds and mix until smooth. If not fully melted, repeat the process until a smooth consistency forms.
  • Divide evenly in the paper liners, and transfer to the freezer until hardened. Place in an airtight container, and store in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

  1. Do not store at room temperature. These Nutella cups will melt and not hold their shape. They are best stored in the fridge or freezer. I prefer mine in the freezer since I like them to be very hard.
  2. Use a cookie scoop to distribute the Nutella mixture evenly. It helps avoid mess and gets the most Nutella mixture into the muffin pan. I use this cookie scoop.
  3. Always use paper liners or a mini silicone muffin pan. The Nutella cups will stick to a regular mini muffin tin if you don't use paper liners.
  4. Do not use any other oil in place of the coconut oil. Because coconut oil hardens when cold, it helps the Nutella cups hold their shape.

This is the recipe that I make the most in my house when I want a quick and easy last minute dessert. I always have some of these Nutella cups in my freezer!

  2. Wow, only two ingredients?! I'm sold. These look dangerously delicious, no matter what you call them...but it's probably a good thing you didn't go with the "lumps" part 😉

  3. Wowzer these would be dangerous to have hanging around the house, they wouldn't last at all! Yum, I am sure they will be greatly appreciated in the cookie boxes you give your friends and family 😀

  4. I do not trust myself with Nutella in the pantry. It's too easy to just eat a scoop of it!! These are fun and I love that they can be made up at the last minute.

  5. This is AMAZING!! All I want to do every night is lay on my bed eating chocolate, haha. I love that you can just have a little indulgent treat in a pretty cup instead of just eating Nutella straight out of the jar! Yum!
