I really wanted to make more Halloween recipes this year. But instead, all I could think of were recipes to make for the winter holidays.

Usually I LOVE making Halloween dessert recipes. They are just so fun to make and eat. But this year, I was todo busy to even think about fun Halloween recipes. And instead, I have just been making whatever random recipe comes into my head. I kind of go into the kitchen and decide what to make as I'm mixing ingredients. And I am so glad that these Nutella White Chocolate Cake Balls came out of one of my random baking sessions.

We took my son trick or treating at the zoo last weekend, and so he has quite a lot of Halloween candy. But he now asks for these cake balls instead of his Halloween candy. I'm going to have to hide a stash at the back of my fridge so he doesn't eat them all!

Nutella White Chocolate Cake Balls Ingredients

You just need 7 ingredients to make these Nutella cake balls. All you need is:

  • boxed cake mixture
  • water
  • oil
  • eggs
  • Nutella
  • white chocolate chips (or white candy melts)
  • coconut oil

Tips

Storage: Store these cake balls in an airtight container in the fridge for 1 week, or in the freezer for 3 months.

Make Nutella Cake Pops. All you need to do to make them into cake pops would be to place a lollipop stick or a wooden stick in the small balls, then freeze or refrigerate until hard. Dip in the melted white chocolate as usual.

Top with your favorite toppings. I like topping the chocolate coating with Nutella, but you can top it with sprinkles, cookie or cake crumbs. If you are topping with cookie crumbs, I like using a food processor to break them up into small to fine crumbs, then sprinkle on top of the melted chocolate.

Swap out the chocolate. Instead of white chocolate, try using milk or dark chocolate chips for a richer taste.
