Easy Pecan Pie

Easy Pecan Pie recipe. Made without corn syrup and with frozen ready made crust, this makes the best last minute dessert idea.

Easy Pecan Pie

I know a lot of you are just thinking about Halloween. Thanksgiving is probably not even on your radar. But as a Canadian, I am always on Canadian Thanksgiving time. And Canadian Thanksgiving is exactly one week away. I better start my baking.

Pecan pie is something that I always associate with Thanksgiving. It is a strange thing, because I have actually never actually eaten pecan pie on either Canadian or American Thanksgiving. It must just come from TV depictions and other people telling me about all the food they ate on Thanksgiving.

Well, this year I'm going to change that. Maybe I'll make it a tradition to make this Easy Pecan Pie every year for Thanksgiving.

Tips & Tricks

Don't have a prepared unbaked frozen pie crust? No problem! You can make your own pie crust using this Easy Pie Crust recipe.

This recipe is made without corn syrup! This is because I almost never have corn syrup available on hand. But if you wanted a pie that is made with corn syrup, you can substitute all of the sugar for: 1 cup corn syrup and ½ cup of brown sugar.

So many variations! I have seen a couple of people add in some bourbon or some chocolate into their pecan pies, and I say YES! The variations on this pecan pie are endless.
