Different people deal with stress in different ways. Some people go for a run. Some people listen to music. Some people put miniature marshmallows in their nostrils and snort them out. (What are you looking at me for? I don't do that... anymore...)

But when someone else is stressed, how can you help them? My solution to that (as is my solution to pretty much anything) is to bake them something. Because what is more comforting than food?

Cookies, to be precise.

You see, while my boyfriend just got back from Russia a few weeks ago, he is going to Toronto to do his masters, so he needs to find an apartment. And you can imagine how hard it is trying to find an apartment somewhere miles away, trying to avoid countless scams.

He has been emailed back by at least 4 missionaries telling him they think he's responsible and can handle their house...as a reply for 4 different places. Either Toronto is littered with missionaries, or there is some guy scaming people out of their information. So you can imagine the stress coming out of this search.

Because just when you thought that sugar cookies couldn't get any better, they now come with a crinkled top. How lovely! I should have saved this recipe for Christmas, but maybe stress is a good enough reason to make some sugar cookies.
