Soft and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe. These are the perfect dessert recipe, and one of the best cookie recipes I have tried!
Chocolate Chip Cookies

So these cookies: they were meant to happen. Me making them? It's fate I tell you!

Why you might ask? Well, I'm not one to believe in fate or destiny. I like to think that I have some sort of choice with what goes on in my life, but this my friends was fate.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I go into my kitchen and absentmindedly take an egg out of my fridge and break it open into a bowl. I don't know why I do it, I guess it's just a habit. I look into the bowl at by newly cracked jumbo egg, and lo and behold, it is a double yolker.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Staring back at those big yellow eyes, I wonder what I should do with it. I had nothing in mind when I cracked it. Luckily, I had my handwritten recipes right beside me, open to this very recipe. While I usually make my chocolate chip cashew cookies in a time like this, I did make this recipe a while back, and I remembered them being awesome. They didn't disappoint the second time around.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

So while the cookies were baking, I obviously  saved some cookie dough to eat by myself in a bowl. In front of my computer. Watching the movie Up. While shamelessly crying my eyes out. What can I say? I had no control over my actions. I guess it must have been fate.

  5. The double yolker was definitely fate, but then wondering into the kitchen and randomly cracking an egg without knowing what you were even doing probably is fate too. The cookies look and sound delicious. Yum. I'd love to dunk them right in a hot brew.

  6. How lucky are you? You can't beat a good chocolate chip cookie and I am always on the look out for a great recipe. Unfortunately, we just made a batch a couple of nights ago. I will have to save this one for later---b/c of course if I made these now we would eat the rest of the previous batch PLUS devour these. Thanks for stopping by EE's, too.

  7. Your cookies look fantastic! I don't think I have ever cracked open a egg with two yolks....
