Mug Cake frequently asked questions

  1. Can you make it ahead of time? Honestly, I wouldn't. It is already easy enough to make that it will only take around 5 minutes of your time. The hardest part about making a mug cake is waiting for it to cool slightly. But if you wanted to make it for a crowd, you can definitely make it ahead of time.
  2. Can you make this in the oven? No. This recipe was specifically designed to be made in the microwave.
  3. Can you use self-rising flour? You can, but the consistency will be different. I personally prefer this recipe using regular all-purpose flour, but if self-rising is all you have it will still work!
