So these cookies: they were meant to happen. Me making them? It’s fate I tell you!
Why you might ask? Well, I’m not one to believe in fate or destiny. I like to think that I have some sort of choice with what goes on in my life, but this my friends was fate.

I go into my kitchen and absentmindedly take an egg out of my fridge and break it open into a bowl. I don’t know why I do it, I guess it’s just a habit. I look into the bowl at by newly cracked jumbo egg, and lo and behold, it is a double yolker.
Staring back at those big yellow eyes, I wonder what I should do with it. I had nothing in mind when I cracked it. Luckily, I had my handwritten recipes right beside me, open to this very recipe. While I usually make my chocolate chip cashew cookies in a time like this, I did make this recipe a while back, and I remembered them being awesome. They didn’t disappoint the second time around.

So while the cookies were baking, I obviously saved some cookie dough to eat by myself in a bowl. In front of my computer. Watching the movie Up. While shamelessly crying my eyes out. What can I say? I had no control over my actions. I guess it must have been fate.

When something is meant to be… 🙂 These cookies are amazing, Love the chewiness and all the chocolate. Delicious!
I can’t get enough of these cookies!!
These are the perfect looking cookies! Chocolate chip are my favorites and while I’ll just about any one, these look like my favorite kind…..not too chewy or crunchy….just right. And yes Up is a tear jerker. We reference “the cone of shame” all the time LOL.
Hahah, that is amazing! Thanks Denise 🙂
lol – you weren't kidding when you said you like to eat dessert in front of your laptop, watching movies! That's definitely something you and I share. I also sob uncontrollably at sad/touching movies, books and even *hangs head* commercials. These CCCs look awesome. I'm currently searching for that perfect recipe so I'll add this to my list.
Chocolate chip cookies are the best. On of my favs. If I had to have just one cookie, (fortunately I have choices!) that would be the one. And yours look great. I love eating the dough, too! I think I've only had a double egg yolk 2 or 3 times in my life – lucky you!
A double egg yolk? What a great idea 😀
These look fantastic! I'm in the mood now 🙂
Cheers
