Philly Cheesesteak Pasta

Easy Philly Cheesesteak Pasta recipe. A quick dinner idea for busy weeknights, it makes the best comfort food that the whole family will love.

Philly Cheesesteak Pasta

I think my favorite thing about John being a stay at home dad is that he makes dinner every night.

When we both used to work, it was always a struggle to make a complete meal for dinner. Most of the time, we ended up going to a local deli around where we lived and picking up some Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.

But now that we have moved and no longer live near that deli, John has been making this one-pot Philly cheesesteak pasta which quickly became a new family favorite. Now we can get the flavors of a Philly cheesesteak sandwich in a cheesy pasta dish. This recipe is a great make-ahead meal idea for busy weeks. The gooey cheese combined with the classic Philly cheesesteak flavors makes this a great option for when you are craving the classic sandwich but don't have the hoagie roll to go with it.

Tips & Variations

Don't have egg noodles? Switch up the cooked pasta for any pasta form that you have on hand. I personally love it with penne pasta, rotini pasta or macaroni noodles. Make sure that you are using a short pasta so that it's easier to eat.

Switch up the green peppers. If you don't have a green bell pepper, try using any other vegetable that you have on hand. This recipe is so versatile, and tastes great with any substitutions.

Storage: To store this pasta, place in an airtight container and place in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Use any type of cheese that you like. My personal preference for the melted cheese is pepper jack, but I have tried it with provolone cheese and that might now be a close contender.
