Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf
Easy Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf recipe. This ground beef recipe makes a simple dinner idea that tastes like your favourite pizza.
We bought a house! And we are moving in tomorrow!
We were actually going to move in today, but when we got there we realized that the electricity wasn't working. So we went back to our short term rental so our cranky baby could go to sleep.
Since we are going to be much too busy with our move tomorrow to make food, I made this Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf so we will have dinner for the next couple of days.
What you need to make Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf
All you need is:
- ground beef
- ground sausage
- sliced pepperoni
- garlic
- eggs
- salt & pepper
- Italian seasoning
- breadcrumbs
- mozzarella cheese
- pizza sauce

Can you bake this meatloaf in a loaf pan? Yes you can! I usually bake my meatloaf in a loaf pan, but for this recipe I wanted the sides to be crispier, kind of like a pizza. If you wanted to bake it in a loaf pan, you can bake it for 1 hour and remove the foil. Check on it, and if you think it needs a little more time for the cheese to melt or the pepperoni to crisp up, bake for another 5 minutes but make sure you keep an eye on it!
What to serve with this Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf. Smoked PotatoesAny kind of potato and salad goes really well with this meatloaf. These in particular would be a great side dish.

Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf
Ingredients
Meatloaf
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground sausage
- ¾ cup sliced pepperoni, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Topping
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup sliced pepperoni
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the meatloaf ingredients until fully combined.
- Form a loaf on the prepared baking sheet with the meatloaf mixture.
- Spread the pizza sauce on top of the meatloaf. Sprinkle 1 cup Mozzarella cheese on top. Top with sliced pepperoni.
- Form a tent using foil over the meatloaf, making sure the foil does not touch the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove the foil and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.

This was such a delicious meatloaf recipe- so much funner than "mom's meatloaf"! Not that a traditional meatloaf isn't great, but the cheesy topping and tangy pepperoni made this a hit.
