Can being stressed literally make you sick? Because I have been nauseous for the past couple of days.
So if I can’t get my fruits and vegetables down in solid form, you can bet that I’m going to be drinking them up in a smoothie.
Now before you go running to the hills because I added kale to this smoothie, just hear me out. Even I was skeptical about adding kale to smoothie. And I freaking adore kale. But when I have some kale and strawberries in the fridge that needs using… well, I can’t have any waste now can I?
My boyfriend just threw out perfectly good milk the other day, so I feel like I need to salvage everything I have in the fridge.
And now…the verdict on my first ever experience with kale smoothies???
I LOVE them!! Why have I not made them before?
I have tried more than my fare share of spinach smoothies, but I think that kale is going to end up in my regular rotation of fruit smoothies.
And it is almost summer y’all! I am predicting a huge surge in the amount of smoothies being made in my kitchen in the upcoming weeks.
Partly because it has suddenly become SO HOT here (like shorts weather (!!!)) but mostly because I still don’t have time to do any baking lately. I think morning baking will be where it’s at in the remaining month (!!) of school.

Kale and Strawberry Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups baby kale
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 Tbsp honey
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into two glasses, and serve immediately.
I actually love the colours in this smoothies, they look like confetti! Hope you feel less stressed soon
Stress can definitely make you sick!! Try to relax and stay calm…and eat more veggies. They always help!
