Ground Pork Tacos
Easy Ground Pork Tacos recipe. This quick and simple weeknight meal is made with only 5 ingredients, perfect for a last minute dinner idea.
Second time making tacos? Who am I? I think I've been influenced by living in the US for 2 years now. Tacos aren't really a huge thing in Canada. But now that I live in the US, it seems like you can get good tacos on every corner. And I am here for it!
So why am I making tacos at home might I ask?
Well, I wish I had a fun and interesting story behind it. The real reason is, I had some ground pork and some leftover corn tortillas and thought.. I could probably whip together some tacos to use up the ingredients in my fridge.
And so.. these Ground Pork Tacos were born.
Ground Pork Tacos Ingredients
This ground pork taco recipe is so easy to make. All you need is:
- olive oil
- lean ground pork
- taco seasoning (I use my homemade taco seasoning)
- beef broth
- corn tortillas
- your favorite toppings
That's it!!
Tips
Storing leftovers. Store any leftover ground pork in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Pork taco meat freezes well too, so you can freeze it in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
When cooking the pork taco filling: Use either a wooden spoon or use tongs to break the pork into smaller pieces. You have a lot more control over the pork mixture than if you were using a spatula.
Variations
Switch up the ground meat. While I love making this recipe when I have a pound of ground pork, ground beef or ground chicken are a great option for a substitute.
Some of my favorite taco toppings: If you wanted some ideas, I love adding some fresh cilantro, diced lettuce, chopped tomatoes, diced red onion, shredded Cotija cheese and some sour cream. If you have it, salsa verde or pineapple salsa taste amazing on these easy pork tacos.
Experiment with different tortilla shells. I prefer the corn tortillas, but hard shells or flour tortillas work great as well.

Ground Pork Tacos
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- ¼ cup beef broth
- 8 (6-inch) corn tortillas
Toppings
- tomatoes
- lettuce
- shredded cheese
- cilantro
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Cook the ground pork until no longer pink, crumbling it up with a spatula.
- Mix in the taco seasoning and cook for around 1 minute. Add in the beef broth and allow mixture to simmer until liquid is cooled off.
- Fill the tortillas with ground pork and top with your desired toppings.

Here in Italy, you definitely can't find tacos on every corner. Even Mexican restaurants are pretty rare. But I make tacos and home and love the idea of making them with ground pork. On my to-try list!
