Easy Guacamole recipe. Made with simple ingredients, this dip makes a great appetizer and pairs perfectly with salsa.

I know I’m not the only one who will pay extra for guac. It is my favorite dip, and I can’t go to a restaurant or have taco nights without it.
But now that I know that it’s so easy to make, I’m almost debating whether or not I should put some in a tupperware container and bring it everywhere I go. What do you think?
Also, I can’t believe that I have made Spicy Guacamole but not plain and simple Easy Guacamole.
This one is for people who can’t handle the spice. Or like me, get heartburn at any food with a slight spice. Dang pregnancy giving me heartburn from eating anything these days. But this is the best guacamole recipe for me right now. Honestly, it is almost a restaurant-worthy guacamole dip. It is my favorite guacamole recipe that I have tried for a long time.
This goes well on top of nachos, burritos, … heck, I’ve even put it on an omelette. But however you enjoy it, this simple recipe won’t do you wrong.

Easy Guacamole Ingredients
This simple guacamole recipe is made
- ripe avocados
- fresh lime juice or lemon juice
- sea salt
- white onion
- fresh cilantro
- garlic
- cayenne pepper
- ground cumin

Tips
Storage: the best way to store leftover guacamole to slow down the browning process is to store in an airtight container with a thin layer of water on top. For best results, press down the guacamole to remove any air pockets, then cover the surface of the guacamole with a little bit of lukewarm or cold water. While it won’t stay the same bright green as when you first made it, it will look a lot less brown than if you were to store it regularly in a container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Don’t have a good ripe avocado? My favorite way to speed up the ripening process is by using a brown paper bag and a banana. Just place your avocado and the banana in the bag, close the bag, then check on it in the morning. You should have a perfectly ripe avocado!
Add in some extra spice. To give this homemade guacamole recipe an extra kick, try adding in some chili peppers, or a chopped jalapeño pepper. If you wanted it to be just slightly hotter, try some green chiles, a milk hot sauce or some black pepper.
Mashing the avocado. I love using a potato masher so that you can still get some chunky avocado in the guacamole. If you wanted it to be more smooth, place it in a blender or food processor.
