Ah, mornings. A time when the majority of us feel like our beds are the most comfortable thing in the world. Like we’re super-glued to our mattress, and it’s so warm that you don’t want to move anyways.
Well my friends, let me tell you that I have never actually experienced that feeling before.
Until today…
I’ve heard people describe this phenomenon, so I knew it was a real thing. Well I WAS skeptical the first time I heard it. I’ve never experienced it before, I love mornings! I just want to get up and enjoy the day. I’m usually up by, at the latest 5:30. So today, when I FINALLY got up this morning, I was SO hungry.
Making and eating a whole skillet was what I did. And boy was it fabulous. No wonder people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
What you’ll need:
-2 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
-1 teaspoon seasoning salt
-1 tablespoon butter
-2 large white mushrooms, sliced
-1 sweet Italian sausage
-1/4 cup chopped spinach
-2 large eggs
Directions:
1. Fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add the potatoes, and cover until potatoes are tender.
2. On a lightly sprayed skillet, fry the potatoes and add the seasoning salt. Set aside when potatoes are brown.
3. On the same skillet, melt the butter. Fry the sausage. When fully cooked, chop sausage into small pieces, then add the mushrooms. Fry for a few minutes until mushrooms are browned. Set aside with the potatoes.
4. On the same skillet, fry the eggs to your preference. Remove, and place the potatoes, mushrooms and sausages on the skillet and mix in the spinach. Place eggs on top and enjoy!

Oh Cathleen, can we swap? I can't get out of my bed every damn day, drives me batty. But this looks oh so worth getting up for. Looks amazing and I can taste the wonderful cooking aroma through my iPad!

This is just great for brunch for a lazy Sunday! It does look real delicious. Makes me goes hungry now.
Oh what a feast! This would surely make me pop out of bed in a second! I love breakfasts and I go to bed thinking of what I want to eat for breakfast and as soon as I wake up, even though I would want to be glued to my warm bed, the thought of breakfast pushes me off the bed.
That is a fabulous breakfast- a traditional classic breakfast. Love it.

I am a morning person too. So it is nice to slow down once in a while and snuggle in. GREG

(And thanks for finding my Culinary Bric and Brac…hardly anyone ever does! 🙂 I try to post recipes there that I have in drafts and don't seem to get around to posting on my regular blog.)
Ha ! If only somebody will cook that deliciousness for me , I'll enjoy waking up in the morning ! 😀
I'm not a morning person. I've to admit that I'm always glued, as you said it, to the mattress each morning but got to tear myself out of it to get to work ..lol..this is a great meal to start the day with. Wish I could taste it.
