I remember when I volunteered for an organization called EyeGo back when I was in high school. It’s this organization for high school students to get cheap tickets to a variety of shows across Canada, where all you needed to do was go online and pick a show.
It was our job to make the design of T-shirts to promote this organization. Because how simple the process to buy tickets cheap was, we came up with a shirt that says “Cheap and Easy”. We were pretty classy kids.
While I was making these burgers, I was reminded of that shirt, and thought if I were to give a one-liner to describe this burger, it would be just that. Cheap and easy. Just as those T-shirts we thought up turned heads, so will this burger.

Quick and Easy Hamburgers
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1 lb ground beef
- hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat the egg. Mix in the bread crumbs, onion, mustard, salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Mix in the beef and shape into four 1/2 inch thick patties.
- Heat a skillet on medium-hot and cook on one side for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook until no longer pink inside.

Sounds good. It's spelled "Worcestershire" though.
I usually put in some chopped onions as well (and some hot sauce).
PS: Never underestimate the power of a quality bun!
I'll never turn down a burger – never! This looks wonderful – great job! Thanks.
A burger always suffices. And this looks great!
