Ah, who doesn’t like Nutella. I think that it is against human nature to hate such a creation. Working as a cashier at Safeway, I would see many people buy tubs and tubs of Nutella, not caring that it’s $8 a pop. They probably could even double the price and people would keep buying it.
Yes, it is another creation that requires only a mug and a microwave as baking tools. I was going to buy whipping cream or something to put on top of it, because then this cake would be KILLER, but I couldn’t wait long enough. I know that if I were to have waited a day longer, all the Nutella would have been gone.
You see, I have a problem. I am Cathleen, and I am a Nutella addict. I eat it right out of the bowl, telling myself aloud “alright, this is my last spoonful” as my spoon dives a second, third, forth time into the jar. All involuntarily. My hand has a mind of its own. This is why I can only bake a personal-sized cake with Nutella.
What do you need to make this Nutella Mug Cake?
Basically just your pantry essentials. All you need is:
- flour
- baking powder
- salt
- egg
- cocoa powder
- Nutella
- milk
- oil

Nutella Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 3 Tbsp Nutella
- 3 Tbsp milk of choice
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a large mug.
- Add the remaining ingredients into the mug, mixing with a fork until all the lumps are gone, and the batter is smooth
- Microwave for 1.5-3 minutes. Enjoy!

I have never actually had nutella, but apparently it is the best thing ever 🙂 This cake looks so simple and tasty.
I love nutella and we eat it almost everyday as nutella sandwich. Kids are allowed to eat it after regular (savory) sandwich. But I am doing it so that I can enjoy it. =) Your nutella mug cake sounds wonderful. I've never made cake in a mug and this is something I really want to try!

omg, this is deadly stuff! im a nutella addict, so much so i stopped buyin, its just so addictive.. but this mug cake is seriously dangerous, im afraid im gonna be making this very very often!
