Definitely me. Always me.

But this recipe is made with summer fruit like mangoes. That makes up for it, right??

I have been OBSESSED with buying mangoes lately.

Every time I go to the grocery store, I will buy a couple of fresh mangoes and at least 3 bags of frozen mangoes.

Me and John have switched frozen mangoes for our regular bags of candy when we are watching movies now. Small changes to make us healthier is always a good idea.

Mango Nutella Oatmeal

So I am balancing the healthy with the less healthy Nutella in this Mango Nutella Oatmeal recipe.

During the summer, you will typically find me making my Raspberries and Cream Oatmeal, but I think this one is going to go on the rotation a lot more!

Mangoes are my favourite fruit, and if you have been following me for some time, you will know that my favourite ingredient is Nutella.

This recipe is so easy! All you need is:

  • milk
  • water
  • oats
  • chia seeds
  • nutella
  • mango

That's it!! You can bet that I will be making this recipe all summer long, despite the heat.

Mango Nutella Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoon Nutella
  • ¼ cup mango, cubed
  • additional Nutella to top

Instructions

  • Heat the milk and water in a small saucepan. Add in the oats, chia seeds and Nutella. Bring to a boil, and reduce the heat. Allow to simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  • Remove oatmeal from heat. Mix in the mango. Pour into a bowl and top with additional Nutella, if desired.
