I predict that it will be pasta every night at my house until the end of the school year.

This is what has been on my menu for the past few days: lemon garlic pastaspaghetti a la homer and chicken and salsa pasta. What do they have in common?

Well other then the fact that they are all made with pasta, they are all ready in under 30 minutes. Because when you have stacks of papers to mark, you need to save as much time as possible.

And this bread isn't any different. The best thing about it is that it can be made while you are making your pasta!

What I do is set the water to a boil, then start prepping the bread. And prepping the bread is hardly any work at all. This bread is made with only 4 ingredients, which makes this almost too easy a recipe to put on a recipe blog. I almost didn't post it, until I thought that there are probably other busy individuals out there who might need a recipe, or even just the inspiration to make something at home rather than buy take out.

Which, to be honest, would have been me if I didn't discover this super easy garlic bread recipe.

Since there are so few ingredients in this recipe, it is very important to buy good quality french bread. If you must, go to a grocery store with a bakery. I am lucky enough to have a cute little bakery that sells fresh bread daily near my house, so I will always pick up some bread before I go home.

I would also suggest that you use fresh garlic. You can substitute the garlic with granulated garlic if you need to, but I much prefer fresh. Also, make sure you serve it up warm! Time this garlic bread to coincide with the pasta, or whatever you choose to make this with.

Now let's talk leftovers. Usually I don't have much leftover, which is strange because we are a two person household. But if you do, these reheat very well. Store any leftovers in the fridge, and when you are ready to warm them up, just heat the oven (or toaster oven) to 350˚F, pop them in for around 5 minutes (depending on your oven. Keep an eye on them!) and enjoy!

So does anyone out there have any other 30 minute meal ideas that I can try?

I used to make something like this but forgot about it Can I use softened tub "butter" or margarine like I can't Believe it's Not Butter? Can't wait to make it again! Btw, my recipe used melted butter with poppyseeds mixed in it. It's a great addition but dealing with the melted butter was very messy. Looking forward to trying this variation!
