Easy Chocolate Protein Powder Pancakes recipe that can be made vegan. These are so quick to make, and so soft and fluffy. Perfect breakfast or brunch idea.
I am looking forward to the weekend so much that I am posting these chocolate protein powder pancakes now. When no one is thinking about pancakes.
But to be honest, I am always thinking about pancakes. Especially ones with an extra kick of protein to keep me fuller longer.
Okay, so it’s true that these pancakes are almost identical to my vanilla protein powder pancakes that I made last year. I just wanted to make these ones because firstly, I don’t seem to have enough time to test recipes to see if they are good and two, because I don’t want any of you to miss how GOOD this recipe is. Whichever your preference is: be it chocolate or vanilla.
I am not sure if I have a preference when it comes to these pancakes. I might like them both equally.
What do you need to make these Chocolate Protein Powder Pancakes?
All you need is:
- flour
- chocolate protein powder
- baking powder
- salt
- maple syrup
- water
That’s it!
I topped these pancakes with coconut yogurt and chocolate chips mainly because I thought it would look nice in a photo. You know, seeing as how I’m a food blogger, that’s my main objective, right? But when I tried a bite with this topping, I knew that I I would have this from now on, regardless if I was taking a photo.
Unless there is any pancake toppings that you would suggest? Please let me know in a comment, I am always up for experimenting with my pancakes!

Cathleen, it worked! I can see your blog posts in my feed now – I just had to re-add your link although it was already there, phew!
And guuuurl, these pancakes look lush! 😀 I used to make protein pancakes all the time, but then I stopped for some reason. Now I am feeling inspired again though 😀 And also, word! I never usually order anything I can easily whip up myself when we go for fancy brunch, I mean – you gotta treat yourself, right? 😀 x

Love that you added protein here! Sometimes I find that pancakes are never filling enough…I’m full first and not long after the hunger bug strike again. The added protein would certainly help out! Plus, chocolate – YUM!

Haha, totally agree. Thanks Dawn!

I usually go for the yoghurt fruit combination for topping pancakes and if I am craving something a little sweeter I will often add a drizzle of syrup or honey. These do look lovely and a great way to start the day.

This is the first time I topped pancakes with yogurt! I am late on the train!

Been years since I have made my own pancakes from scratch, this is a very nice recipe with protein boost. I like chocolate.

Me too. This recipe is a winner!

What a great way to use up chocolate protein powder! I had a whole bunch left over because I didn’t like the blended texture and this was the perfect way to eat them. Yay!!

That makes me so happy to hear 🙂
