I am a huge fan of trickery. Halloween was one of my favorite holidays as a kid (although maybe that was for the candy), and I would never miss a chance to trick someone on April Fool’s day. But when it’s me being tricked.. Well I’m not so sure I’m a huge fan.
Let me elaborate. I have been contemplating whether or not to quit my job at Safeway. Well, I finally managed it. I know. I accept all of your congratulations.
But without a job, I needed to find a way to earn some money that works with my schedule at school. The best way to do that is, of course, participate in psychology experiments. And don’t get me started how much they love to trick the participants.
First I was tricked into thinking I was playing with a Ouija board with someone else while blindfolded, when that other person was part of the experiment and not touching the game at all. Next, I was tricked into thinking I was being observed by multiple people while I performed mental math just to stress me out. Next… well next is tomorrow. I’ll be ready.
Now it’s your turn. Your turn to perform a trick on someone you know who doesn’t like veggies/fruit/eating healthy. Make them this Mango Green Smoothie, and tell them it’s totally bad for them, filled with fat and ice cream and all that good stuff. Because when you take one sip of this smoothie, you might actually believe it. You might think “there is no way this smoothie is good for you”.
If I was being tricked into anything, I would definitely want to be tricked into drinking this drink.
Mango Green Smoothie Ingredients
You just need 5 simple ingredients to make this Mango Spinach Smoothie recipe. All you need is:
- baby spinach
- ripe banana
- fresh mango
- coconut milk
- aloe pomegranate drink
That’s it!
Tips
How to get a creamier smoothie: If you love that creamy texture, try using frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit. Frozen mango and banana will make it creamier, and then you won’t have to add ice cubes to the blender. You can also use frozen spinach instead of fresh spinach.
Make sure you use a high-speed blender. A cheaper blender may not produce a creamy smoothie, rather a lumpy one. My favorite blender to use is the Vitamix blender, but my Ninja blender also works well.
Variations
Switch out the aloe drink. I always have aloe drink on hand, but if you don’t have that you can use orange juice, pineapple juice or coconut water.
Add in some healthy fats. Mixing in some healthy fats is good for your gut health, and helps keep you full longer. I love adding in avocado chunks, Greek yogurt, hemp seeds or chia seeds, but add in whatever you have on hand.
Mix in more fruit. This makes a good base recipe for a healthy green smoothie. You can always add in your favorite tropical fruit or berries. I love adding fresh berries, sweet mango and other tropical fruits so you can get extra servings of fruit through this smoothie.

You really can’t beat a drink that feels indulgent but is actually a powerhouse of nutrition, trick me any day if it means I get to have this. A new favorite for breakfast, even my toddler loves it!
Yes!! Good enough for your toddler, good enough for me 😉
They look amazing, and so good for you! Spinach in smoothies is awesome, can’t believe some people find it off putting!

Me neither! It is so good!!
I love to start my mornings with a smoothie and always choose a banana as my base because it makes everything os creamy, but I’ve heard recently that mango is also really creamy so I’ve been wanting to give that a try. This sounds wonderful!
You must give it a try sometime! It is so good 🙂
I was looking for something to satisfy my sweet tooth, but also fill me up, this will be perfect!
AND it’s healthy too! Win win 🙂
The color of this smoothie makes me want to scream: “Oh no, summer, where did you go?” There is something about that bright green that I associate with warm days. Oh well, time to celebrate the fall with it, too! 🙂
True. It is hard at first trading fall flavours for summer flavours, but I actually love fall flavours the best 🙂
I went on a binge of smoothie recipes and was able to come across this beauty. I absolutely love spinach in my smoothies and mango is one of my favorite fruits. SCORE!
Yay! Glad you like it Jeannette 🙂
I make a smoothie every morning for my husband to take to work and I can never manage to trick him! He’s just too suspicious! And the spinach gives me away every time. Lol. Now, I wouldn’t need to be tricked into this one. Love mango, and I’m all over the addition of spinach!
Haha. My husband has grown to love it 🙂
This is one beautiful smoothie that is perfect for breakfast. I love the mango and banana combo as well.
Me too! Thanks 🙂
I love to have a mango drink but I never combined mango and spinach. This looks super delicious and yum.
You must give it a go sometime!
Yum! I love a great smoothie!
