Since I LOVE warm drinks on a cold day (and boy has it been cold lately) I will resume making warm drinks. Warm drinks all around! Maybe I can finally take off one of my layers off (seriously, I am wearing 4 layers right now and I am still cold)
So what drink can I drink in the morning. A morning drink that is warm… Think Cathleen, think.
Obviously the drink that comes to mind is coffee.
Now during the school year, coffee is my drug. And Starbucks is my dealer. They even knew me there, they knew what I wanted, and they sometimes even gave me a free drink. Actually a girl beside me wanted to buy me a drink because she thought I was Miley Cyrus. Way off the mark, so I obviously didn’t accept.
Now since I was way lazy to think up some coffee drink by myself, I was browsing around recipes (one of my favorite pastimes) and I found a strange coffee made from the feces of the Asian Palm Civit. One of the most expensive coffees in the world.
I don’t know about you, but I’ll stick to the coffee I know.
Adapted from AllRecipes
Makes 1 drink
What you’ll need:
-2 tablespoons ground coffee beans
-1/2 teaspoon hot chili power
-2 whole cloves
-1/2 (3 inch) cinnamon stick
-2 cups water
-1/2 cup coconut milk
-2 tablespoons honey
+whipped cream and cinnamon to top
Directions:
1. Combine the ground coffee, chili powder, cloves and cinnamon stick in a coffee filter and put it in a drip coffee brewer. Pour water into the brewer’s water reservoir. Set coffee on to brew.
2. While the coffee brews, warm coconut milk and honey in a small saucepan on medium-low heat. Stir until the honey is dissolved. Pour coffee into the mixture and stir well. Pour into a mug, and enjoy!

I can smell the amazing coffee aroma! such interesting flavours. too bad I'm coffee intolerant now, gives me insomnia even if I take it in the morning.
What an interesting way to enjoy a cup of coffee!
If I drank coffee, I'd definitely drink it like this.

As if Miley Cyrus can't afford her own coffee. Sheesh, I don't get the star struck. Pay it forward people to somebody who could actually use your generosity. Ok, now that I have that out of my system, I'm going to go make coffee.
This looks delicious .. never thought of coconut coffee, you have me inspired. 🙂
