It’s my favourite time of the month: Secret Recipe Club reveal day!
If you don’t know what Secret Recipe Club is, seriously check it out. It is an amazing group of bloggers cooking and sharing recipes from each others blogs. It is a great way to get to know other bloggers, and try out some of their creations.
This month, I was assigned Sally’s blog Bewitching Kitchen. And from this awesome blog with an awesome name comes a truly awesome author. Sally is a biochemist (super cool!), fitness fanatic and lively dog owner. She even has a “science” tab detailing her research. And, thankfully, another one of her interests is food.
I could get lost in her recipes.. and have done so over the past couple of days. While many of her recipes are savoury (aka: not something I make too often), I have found some sweet recipes that I really want to try. I mean, doesn’t “Post-Workout Chia Yogurt Bliss” sound like something you could eat for days? I have bookmarked it, and will be back soon.

But what I really want to talk about are these Nutella drop cookies!!
I was not expecting this kind of texture in these cookies at all. It almost tastes like shortbread and Nutella made a delicious soft and crumbly baby.
These cookies are addicting as heck! I am not ashamed to admit that I ate a handful of these cookies over the sink as a replacement for dinner on Friday.
…Okay, I am a little ashamed of that.
But that is just a testament to how good these cookies are! And perfect to stick inside a little one’s lunch box as a back to school treat. I know I will be making more taking a couple to work with me next week.
If you try this recipe, let me know! Rate it, leave a comment and tag me with #atasteofmadness on Instagram! I always love seeing what you are creating!

Nutella Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and icing sugar until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract. Mix in the flour one cup at a time until fully incorporated. Beat in the Nutella.
- Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop the cookie dough onto the baking sheets.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool on pans for around 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
- I use this medium cookie scoop to make the cookies uniform in size.
- Store cookies in an airtight container on the counter for up to 5 days.
