This is it guys. After all my yearning and gawking at other blogs featuring their gorgeous ice cream recipes, and me getting jealous that I don’t have an ice cream maker, I finally did it. I made ice cream.
But whaaaa? How is this possible? Well. I have been window shopping for ice cream makers, and have finally ordered one on amazon. Well, I guess that’s not really window shopping, but I love amazon so much that I order EVERYTHING from there. Then I don’t have to leave my house. How lazy I have become..
Anyways, a couple of minutes after I ordered it, I thought “come on now, this is taking too long. I waited until the end of summer to buy an ice cream maker???” So I got up, and made this. Made this without an ice cream maker. That was the best part.
And while there is no cream in this ice cream (can I actually call this ice cream?) it uses a total of 3 ingredients. Ingredients I’m sure everyone has on hand. Which just makes it a mega win in my books.
Healthy Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream
printable recipe
What you’ll need:
-2 bananas, cut into coins and frozen
-3 tablespoons peanut butter
-2 teaspoons maple syrup
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients together in a blender, and puree until smooth.
2. Scoop into a freezer safe container. Freeze until solid.
I've seen recipes for banana ice cream, but never have seen peanut butter added to it. Great idea! My ice cream maker is a busy piece of equipment as ice cream is my downfall. Put it on your wish list!
Hi Cathleen, your ice cream look mouth watering, so refreshing and it look so simple. The combination sound great.
Have a nice day, regards.
I totally have an Amazon addiction as well. It doesn't help that I have temporary Prime access and it's two-day shipping. And that now I'm eying ice cream makers ;D
Oohh…I'm going to have to try this with Sunbutter since we have a nut allergy in the house. Protein, bananas – I'm seriously thinking of feeding this to my kids for breakfast!

How wonderful. I love how it's made of only three things and without an ice cream maker! Lovely.
