White Chocolate Matcha Latte

It's the day after Valentine's Day, and I think that I am in a sugar coma.

Me and John went to Trader Joe's to pick up some ingredients for dinner, and we kind of went wild with buying candy and ice cream.

It's a day of love, right? We needed to celebrate it with the food we love too!

But maybe we celebrated a little too hard.

So here I am, waking up the next morning, not wanting anything too sweet.

This is an improvement on most years, where I was first in line at my local grocery store, trying to get all of the half off chocolates.

So this morning, it was an avocado toast and this White Chocolate Matcha Latte.

Think of a more perfect combo. I am waiting.

Lately, most mornings have consisted of my Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte, but it is getting to a point where I can't pretend that it is still fall. The snow will not stop falling, and it feels like I am inhaling daggers when I go outside. I need a more weather appropriate drink.

Because my husband HATES pumpkin anything, he requests this drink most mornings. And I am starting to convert too.

This recipe is so easy to make. All you need is:

  • milk (of choice. I have tried it with milk alternatives and it worked beautifully)
  • cacao butter
  • matcha powder
  • stevia (or sweetener of choice)

That is it!!

Even as I write this, I am curled up in bed with this drink. And I will probably be here this entire long weekend.

Sugar detoxing never looked so cozy.

Now THIS is a matcha latte I can get behind!! I've been wanting to like them for so long... and have never really gotten there. But with chocolate?! Yes, I'm in.
