Easy Snickerdoodle Oatmeal recipe. Tastes just like your favourite cookie, this makes the perfect quick and simple breakfast idea.
I just came back from a weekend of camping, and I have got to say. All of this time relaxing is doing me good.
But as a result, I am not pumping out as many posts as I am used to, Which, to be honest, is fine with me. I am recharged and ready to get back into blogging ad making more recipes for you all!
First up: oatmeal. (are you surprised??)
Typically, when I am camping I will always bring oatmeal.
It is so easy to make, and it doesn’t take up much space when packing. But this time, we went with eggs, croissants and sausages for breakfast. So fancy, right?
Which means I went a full 3 mornings without eating oatmeal. You can be sure I got straight to remedying that this morning!
This Snickerdoodle Oatmeal combines my love of snickerdoodle (see my Snickerdoodle Pancakes, Snickerdoodle Apple Bread and my Snickerdoodle Skillet Cookie to name a few) with my love of oatmeal. If you have been reading my blog for some time now, I am sure that you don’t need any evidence of my love of oatmeal.
You would think that I would be running out of oatmeal ideas by now. And you would probably be right, haha.
Please help me think of more! I need more to add to my collection!!
But for now, I am happy making this Snickerdoodle Oatmeal on repeat. It is SUPER easy to make, and satisfies your cravings for fall flavours without having to give up the summer weather.
Lately, I have been obsessed with putting chia seeds in my oatmeal. But if you don’t have any on hand, do not feel the need to go out and buy it. Use what you have on hand, and substitute any ingredients you want/do not want. I want oatmeal to be accessible to ALL, so the more you customize to YOUR tastes, the happier I become!

- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

- Pour into a bowl and top with sugar and cinnamon.
I stumbled upon your blog when I was trying to think of good snickerdoodle variations to use up some leftover snickerdoodle topping from making cookies. Even though this isn’t a complicated recipe by any means, I love the idea! I just made it – the chia seeds are a great addition I wouldn’t have normally reached for.
I just had to comment though since you mentioned camping & oatmeal. For me those two things always go together. My friend introduced me to a Milk Tea Oatmeal hack – just instant oats + instant milk tea (common at Asian grocery stores) + hot water & stir. It’s a little different, but so cozy 🙂
Thank you so much Lydia! I am so glad you liked it!
Haha, yes! My oatmeal recipes are not complicated by any means, but if I can give anyone inspiration for what to make in the morning, I will take it!
Also, that Milk Tea Oatmeal hack is genius!! I will have to give that a go!
What a fun way to incorporate fall flavors into a healthy breakfast! Loved the taste of this!
me too 🙂 Thanks Stephanie!!
I loved the sound of this dish, It is fancy that the breakfast table will full of smiling faces. The oatmeal looks delicious.
Thanks 🙂 It’s a good one
Fantastic breakfast when you need something quick, easy and yum. Oh, and healthy, too 🙂 I am making myself a very similar oatmeal but I’ve got to try yours to see if it is any different. Yum!
Oatmeal is the best in the mornings 🙂
