Vanilla Pudding Ice Cream
Okay, I know what you're thinking.
"Oh ma gawd, how many vanilla ice cream recipes do you need to make? Are you not aware that you are choosing the most BORING flavor out there? I mean, the expression for plain is vanilla!!"
And if that was your attitude, then I can't really defend myself. I mean, I have made vanilla ice cream, vanilla bean ice cream, and ice milk ice cream, the last one was just me attempting and failing to make vanilla ice cream.
So what is with my OBSESSION with vanilla ice cream?? You'd think I perfected with that 3 ingredient vanilla bean ice cream recipe. But I've got an obsession. I think I'm in love with vanilla ice cream.
Now my mother does not like sweet things, but she went WILD for this ice cream! I made this ice cream for the few weeks my boyfriend came back to Vancouver, but he left before he had the chance to try it. Maybe my mom hid it from him or something, because this was gone in no time.
So this might be all folks. I think I have actually perfected vanilla ice cream. I don't think I want to mess with a good thing. I have found my new go-to ice cream recipe.
Vanilla Pudding Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ can evaporated milk
- ½ cup cool whip
- ½ (102g) box instant vanilla pudding mix
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients with an electric mixer until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker, and process according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- When the ice cream is done, pour into an airtight container, and freeze until ready to serve.
I love vanilla.. pudding as well! can't resist this one

What size of freezer for this recipe? Mine is 1 1/2 qt.
The ice cream maker that I have holds 2 qt. I poured it into a regular old ice cream tub from a leftover ice cream that I bought at the store, which holds 1.5 qts, so I think you are okay.
Do u think I can add chocolate chips to this?? Sounds amazing!

Haha, I totally do not blame you for all the vanilla ice cream recipes. I`m like that with cookies and cream ice cream and chocolate chip cookie recipes. It`s like I`m addicted and I can`t get enough of any of them! This recipe looks great as well!

Nothing wrong with vanilla ice cream! Love it. Pudding mix seems to make everything taste really good.
