These Chex Mini Nutella Cups are one of my favorite things. This simple recipe makes a quick and easy dessert or sweet snack.
There are two things that I always have in the house: a jar of Nutella in the pantry and some Nutella cups in the freezer.
At this point, I think that I have made every Nutella cup flavor combo that I can think of. I will keep thinking about different flavor combos because I am absolutely obsessed. They make the best snack for when I’m craving a sweet treat.
And since I had some Chex cereal lying around, I thought that I would make these Chex Mini Nutella Cups. The crunchy Chex cereal mixed together with the creamy Nutella mixture made these Nutella cups some of my favorites lately. I made them 3 times in the past month, which I almost NEVER do since I want to recipe test new recipes. So you KNOW that they are good!
Chex Mini Nutella Cups Ingredients
These Mini Chex Nutella Cups are made with just 3 ingredients, there is no excuse not to make it. All you need is:
- Nutella (or any chocolate hazelnut spread)
- coconut oil
- Chex cereal
Equipment
- mini muffin tin
- mini paper liners
- large mixing bowl
Tips
Storage: Store these Nutella cups in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer for up to 3 months.
What type of Chex cereal to use: I used wheat Chex in this recipe, but corn Chex and rice Chex would also work very well.
Use paper liners. Unfortunately, these Nutella cups don’t come out of a muffin pan easily unless you line them.
Swap out the Nutella. You can use your favorite spread instead of the hazelnut chocolate spread, such as cookie butter, creamy peanut butter or almond butter.

Chex Mini Nutella Cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 1/2 cups Chex cereal
Instructions
- Line a mini muffin pan with mini paper liners. Set aside.
- In a large microwave safe bowl, microwave the Nutella and coconut oil in 30 second intervals, mixing until smooth.
- Fold in the Chex cereal.
- Divide the Nutella mixture into the prepared muffin pans and freeze until hardened. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
