Vodka Hot Chocolate
Easy Vodka Hot Chocolate recipe. This spiked drink is the perfect comfort beverage on a cold day, whipped cream optional.
Okay, so obviously I'm not the one drinking this Vodka Hot Chocolate. But this has been my comfort drink every year when it starts to get cold that I thought I should share.

Counting down the weeks until November when I give birth and I can have this drink again!
A couple of years ago I made this Boozy Peppermint Nutella Hot Chocolate, and I have been obsessed with making it ever since.
But since it is not close to the holidays and the weather is getting colder, I thought I should make a recipe for Vodka Hot Chocolate that you can enjoy yearround.
What do you need to make this Vodka Hot Chocolate?
Okay, so this drink is rich and decadent, but so worth it. All you need to make this is:
- milk
- chocolate chips
- vodka
- heavy cream
- whipped cream
That's it!
This drink gives me sitting by the fire reading a book while it snows kinda vibes. And I love it so much.
Just give me a couple of months before I can enjoy it again.

Vodka Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 ⅔ cup milk of choice
- ⅓ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoon vodka
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is just about to boil.
- Remove from heat and mix in chocolate chips until melted. Stir in the vodka and heavy cream.
- Top with whipped cream and enjoy!

I used the recipe when I was craving an espresso martini but didn’t need the caffeine at night lol! I doctored it up with a little of the hot chocolate powder I had (I know 🙄 but there is something about the taste 😋). I whipped up a homemade espresso whipped cream and that topped it off so well. Definitely smooth and rich! I can’t wait for winter to bring this out. Now I’m just wondering about an eggnog/Screwball eggnog variation! Thank you for the recipe
