These fluffy Matcha Muffins are so quick and easy to make, they will become your new favourite snack idea. The best green tea muffin recipe I have tried!
So… this is what you all mean when you say “eat your greens”, right?
Honestly, I would have expected to be making something covered in chocolate after Easter with all of the extra chocolate I have, or with the new chocolate I will be buying because… half off chocolate. I’ve gotta have it.
But here we are, the day after Easter Monday and I am making the most plain and boring of muffins.
Or, so you may think.
Okay, maybe you might think these Matcha Muffins are boring. But trust me! These muffins will be gone within a day.
Or at least, that is how long they lasted with me and John watching over them.
With only 8 ingredients and ready in 30 minutes, these muffins will become your new favourite. They certainly are one of mine. I showed you all my favourite pairing with this muffin on Instagram, and you guys were loving it.
Now I have got to think of a way to make them last for more than a day.
Maybe me and John ate these Matcha Muffins so quickly because we were in an excited haze. For the past few nights, we have been booking Airbnbs and planning our honeymoon to Hawaii. We have been staying up late at night, with snacks by our side, and researching. Things to do on the Big Island. For 17 days!
Yeah, we are staying for a little over half a month. I don’t think I have gone on vacation for that long before! But that is why we are doing our homework. And mindlessly eating baked goods that I make that day.
Some of the other baked treats I have been making lately are my Peanut Butter Smores Layered Brownies and my Rice Krispies Peanut Butter and Nutella Brownies.
The original plan was to post these Matcha Muffins around Saint Patrick’s Day. But life got in the way, and I couldn’t make my final version and photograph them for that day.
But better late than never, right?
Honestly, now if I am late with my posting schedule, it is probably because we are planning our honeymoon. If anyone has any suggestions for things I CANNOT miss no the big island, please comment below!
And if you try this recipe, let me know! Rate it, leave a comment and tag me with #atasteofmadness on Instagram! I always love seeing what you are creating!

That’s so exciting about booking your honeymoon! 😀 And AirBnBs just seem way better and more personal than hotels methinks 🙂
These muffins sound and look great! I would definitely have a few with a cuppa for breakfast ^ ^ *dreams*

YUM! I’m obsessed with matcha. I literally make some every morning before I head to work. It’s so good! And I love the idea of putting it into a muffin. I’m also a sucker for recipes with minimal ingredients.
Also… SO JEALOUS of your epic honeymoon that’s coming! Ben and I are absolutely in love with Hawaii. While I’ve only been to Oahu, I can still promise you’re going to have an amazing time. I CANNOT wait to hear about it!
Woo hoo!

I always find muffins disappear far quicker than cupcakes, it’s the lack of frosting. I kid myself they are healthier 😀 and I don’t sicken of them as quickly. I love these bad boys and would happily devour a plate full!

Haha, same here!! I can’t seem to stop eating them
