This Ninja Creami Cherry Ice Cream is made with only 4 ingredients, making it the perfect dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth on a hot summer day.
Ever since I got my Ninja Creami Deluxe last year for my anniversary, I have been making so many delicious treats with it.
The whole reason my husband got me the deluxe version was so that I would take advantage of making all the other different things with its additional settings. Turns out, I mainly only like making ice cream these days. Maybe one day I will try the other options, but I just can’t get enough ice cream during this extremely hot summer.
This might be my new favorite ice cream I have made in my Ninja Creami in a while. One of the advantages of this recipe is that it doesn’t use fresh cherries, so really you can make this ice cream any time of the year. I have already made this recipe a couple of times in the last few weeks, it is so good.
Ninja Creami Cherry Ice Cream Ingredients
This homemade cherry ice cream recipe is just made with 4 ingredients. All you need is:
- half and half cream
- whole milk
- white sugar
- cherry pie filling
Equipment
Tips
Make cherry chocolate chip ice cream. To make a cherry chocolate ice cream, after the first spin make a hole in the center of the ice cream. Add in around 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and press the mix-in button.
Use a different creamer. I love half and half because sometimes when I use heavy cream, the texture can become a little bit like that of butter. However, you can still use either heavy cream or a flavored creamer in place of the half and half.
Add some fresh cherries. If you are a huge cherry lover, I would suggest adding in some extra cherry pieces then using the mix-in setting. If you like that sweet cherry flavor, use sweet cherries such as Rainier cherries. For a more tart taste, use black cherries.
Ensure a creamy texture. If you notice that the end result of your first spin is powdery, use the re-spin button.
Make sure to place the Ninja Creami container on a level surface in your freezer. This will ensure that the top freezes flat, making it easier for your machine to process the ice cream.
