Easy Coffee Milkshake made with only two ingredients. All you need is coffee ice cream and some strong brewed coffee to make this refreshing drink.

I am looking at this coffee milkshake right now, and am really wanting to recreate it again! It is so hot in Vancouver, and I have spent the entire day walking around, meeting friends and family and... I got my teeth whitened for the wedding! So that means no coffee for 48 hours. Could you last that long? I am really hoping I can!

I made this recipe in Toronto, when there was the heat wave and I was too afraid of leaving the house. Why leave the house to get melted by the heat when you can sit in an air conditioned house and enjoy milkshakes all day long? Maybe that is the introverted homebody in me speaking, but I had a great time with my milkshakes and my air conditioning. And I also got a lot of stuff done so that I don't need to work so much now that I am in Vancouver.

But the photos of this milkshake are making me want to say "screw my white teeth!" Let me drink allll of the coffee milkshakes. But I need to remind myself: it is only 2 days. 48 hours. I can do this.

You can bet that after 48 hours on the dot, I will be whipping up this coffee milkshake. It is super easy to make, and I always have all of the ingredients on hand.

Plus, I won't need to go out of the house into the extreme heat to get me a refreshingly cold beverage. I'll drink to that!

Coffee Milkshake Ingredients

You just need two simple ingredients to make this coffee shake recipe. All you need is:

  • coffee ice cream
  • strong brewed cold coffee

That's it!

Tips

Top with your favorite toppings. I love adding some whipped cream and Nutella on top, but sprinkles, chocolate ice cream or chocolate syrup would also be great.

Make it decaf. If you are pregnant or you like to drink homemade milkshakes at night, try a decaf version. Swap the brewed coffee for decaf coffee, and make a homemade decaf coffee ice cream.

Variations

Make a boozy coffee milkshake. Add in a little bit of coffee liqueur like kahlua to make this creamy milkshake into more of an adult drink.

Caramel Coffee Milkshake: Make this milkshake according to the recipe card, then add in some store bought or homemade caramel sauce.
