It is March break y’all!
I have been waiting so long for this! I just did some hard core relaxing: I slept for over 7 hours!! I am so proud of myself!
So I flew in to Vancouver last night, and I am fully expecting these next two weeks to be full time relaxing. Sure, I will bake a little, but I don’t think I will be taking photos of them and posting them on the blog. I just want a full on vacation.
Luckily, I spent some time before I left Toronto making recipes and taking photos there so I don’t have to here. All that is left for me to do here is write up the blog post, press publish, and I am back to relaxing.
And marking the stack of papers that I brought with me to Vancouver.
Yeah.. maybe I’m not going to be that relaxed..
This is a recipe I made a couple of weeks ago, and I have been dying to share with you.
Can you believe that I have never made salmon before??? Why you ask? I honestly don’t know. Especially since I am always complaining that I don’t have enough time to make a good dinner. Because when it comes to salmon, it is ready in no time.
Except for maybe this recipe. But the thing is, the longest part of this recipe is waiting for the salmon to marinade. When it is done marinading, you just pop it in the oven, and bam. Perfect meal.
So now, I have salmon pre-written on all of my shopping lists and a perfect lazy day recipe that is easy, healthy and lightly sweet.
Hello new favourite meal.
Super easy maple salmon recipe! Made with only 5 ingredients.
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 lb salmon
In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic and black pepper.
Place the salmon in a glass baking dish lined with aluminium foil. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.
