The other day, I got an email from one of my professors warning the class not to eat anything with peanuts and bananas, because one student in that class was allergic to both of those items.
Allergic to bananas and peanuts!! I could not imagine! I mean, I occasionally make peanut butter banana bread with peanut butter glaze (can you get enough peanut butter?) and I make peanut butter and banana smoothies on a regular basis.
This made me so sad. And a little guilty. Mainly because I don’t have many allergies. Like, at all. Except for mosquitoes, but who’s going to bring that to class?

So as a late Thanksgiving “what I am thankful for” spiel (since I somehow missed doing that around Thanksgiving), I am thankful that I don’t have any food allergies…that I know of.

So I am making the most of my peanut eating capabilities. I am making homemade peanut butter.
I can’t believe I have never done this before. It’s almost embarrassing how easy this is. This was so good, I may never buy peanut butter in a grocery store ever again!

Homemade Peanut Butter
Ingredients
- 3 cups roasted and salted peanuts
Instructions
- Place the peanuts in a food processor and pulse until a creamy mixture forms. This may take a while, depending on your food processor.
We go through so much peanut butter, this would be perfect!
Haha we do too. It’s so good to have on hand!
This homemade peanut butter was so easy and delicious! I could tell the difference immediately at the freshness of this versus storebought!
Ahh yes!! So good 🙂
What a perfect, easy, creamy peanut butter!
Gotta love a good creamy peanut butter 😉
Haha, love your funny cute writing style! Yes, peanuts and peanut butter, such comfort food. Thanks for this easy reliable recipe!
My favourite comfort food 🙂
So simple and so delicious! I get so annoyed at all the unnecessary added ingredients in most store-bought PBs, I need to just make my own more often!
Right?? Me too! Thanks Gina 🙂
You’ve convinced me I can make my own healthy peanut butter at home! I’ve always been nervous it won’t turn out, but your directions are super simple! Thanks!
It’s really no fail! Let me know if you give it a go 🙂
