Easy Eggnog Nutella Ice Cream recipe. This is the perfect dessert for the winter holidays.
As the weather is starting to become warmer, I’m finding myself missing missing winter. I miss wearing so many layers that I can barely move. I miss being so cold at night it takes me hours to get to sleep, and even when I do, I wake up freezing and find that my covers are on the floor.
Haha, who am I kidding, I can’t WAIT for summer.
But what I really DO miss is eggnog.
I am not quite sure why stores do not sell eggnog all year round. Maybe it’s only a good seller around Christmas because then people can justify drinking the creamiest, most fattening drink in the store with a hand wave, saying “it’s a holiday!”
But what’s stopping you from choosing the closest holiday and making that your excuse? Last week, we had our first “Family Day” in BC, which means we don’t get school/work because of..family? I’m not quite sure, I looked at the Wikipedia article, and it didn’t tell me why we celebrate it. Maybe they think that the name should tell us everything we need to know.
So I say that this holiday should observe bringing eggnog back into our lives.
I made this recipe with some homemade eggnog. Sadly it was all gone before I could take any pictures, but I used this recipe. And when I say it was gone so fast, that was all me. As well as drinking it, I also made a cake (will post later) because I for one LOVE eggnog. And I predict that I will be making it all year round.

Eggnog Nutella Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 cups eggnog
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 3 cups whole milk
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup agave syrup
- 1 cup Nutella
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the eggnog, agave syrup, whipping cream, milk and vanilla.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Place the Nutella in a microwavable safe bowl and microwave for 20-25 seconds.
- When the ice cream is done, pour half of the mixture in an airtight storing container. Drop half the heated Nutella by spoonfuls in the ice cream and swirl with a knife. Pour the remaining ice cream in the container and stir in the remaining Nutella. Freeze for at least 2 hours.

Eggnog and nutella.. How can you go wrong! To be completely honest this recipe has got me hungry, excited and curious. I HAVE to see what this tastes like. Great post! xx
