All Christmas, I was having an apple crisp craving. It’s all I could think of. Sadly, the rest of my family wanted pie and cookies. So of course, I needed to make a single serve apple crisp for just myself.
I think that this Apple Crisp for One might be one of my favorite desserts right now. And not only because my sweet tooth craved some mini apple crisps on Christmas. The cinnamon-spiced apples combined with the buttery oat mixture is one of my favorite combinations right now. I know that I just missed apple season, but this classic fall dessert is always calling my name.
If anyone else out there is craving quick apple desserts, this apple crisp is for you!

Apple Crisp for One Ingredients
This individual apple crisp makes such an easy apple crisp recipe. All you need is:
- apple slices
- all purpose flour
- brown sugar
- cold salted butter
- old fashioned oats
- ground cinnamon

Tips
Additional Toppings: I love topping the warm apple crisp with either fresh whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream or Greek yogurt if you want to be healthy. My preference is a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but if you can find it, cinnamon ice cream is good too. It’s also great topped with caramel sauce.
Best apples to use: honestly, the best type of apples to use is your favorite kind of apple! I prefer tart apples such as Granny Smith or Pink Lady apples. If you like more sweet apples, I recommend either Fuji or Gala apples.
Make it gluten free and/or vegan. Instead of the flour, replace it with almond flour, and swap vegan butter for the regular butter.
Storage: I usually eat it all in one sitting, but if you have leftovers, either allow the single serving apple crisp to room temperature then cover with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
