In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until cooked through.
Mix in the garlic and cook for around 1 minute. Add in the cabbage, soy sauce and ginger. Cook until the cabbage is tender. Mix in the hot sauce.
Make a well in the centre of the mixture and add the egg in it. Cook over low heat, scrambling the egg slowly into the mixture.
Mix in the sesame oil. Serve with rice and garnish with additional hot sauce and green onions.
