Candy Cane Saltine Toffee

Ingredients

  • 40 Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 4 candy canes crushed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, then top with a single layer of saltine crackers. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, do not stir and allow to boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over the crackers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Allow to sit for 5-8 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate over the crackers. Sprinkle with the crushed candy canes, and allow to cool at room temperature. Place in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened.
  • Once the chocolate has hardened, cut into pieces and enjoy!
