Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients
1 ½
cups
fresh strawberries,
chopped
¼
cup
granulated sugar
1 ½
teaspoon
lemon juice
Instructions
Cook the strawberries, sugar and lemon juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat slightly and continue to cook for around 15-20 minutes, stiring occasionally.
Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. The sauce should thicken more as it cools.
Notes
This sauce goes well with ice cream, yogurt or pancakes.
Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
