Peppermint Cookies
Peppermint Cookies made with crushed candy canes. Super easy to make, they are a great addition to your yearly Christmas cookie recipes.

Ingredients

salted butter,
softened
½
cup
brown sugar,
packed
½
cup
granulated sugar

tablespoon
milk

Tbps
pure vanilla extract

large
egg
1
cup
all-purpose flour
1
cup
whole wheat flour
(or you can use another cup of all-purpose)

teaspoon
salt
1
teaspoon
baking soda
½
cup
crushed peppermint candy canes
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, milk and vanilla until fully combined. Beat in egg.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flours, salt and baking soda. Slowly mix into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
Fold in ½ cup crushed candy canes. Shape into 1-inch balls and place 2-inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to rack to cool completely.
