In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugars. Mix in the vanilla. Add in the eggs 1 at a time, mixing after each addition.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until fully combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop the cookie dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown.
