Ingredients
1
store bought cake
(I used a McCain deep and delicious cake)
1 ¾
cups
chocolate chips
sprinkles
lollipop or wooded skewer sticks
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Set aside.
Scrape ⅓ of the frosting off of the cake. Reserve for another use. (I would suggest spreading it on cupcakes!)
Scrape the cake and the remaining frosting into a large bowl. Mix until frosting and cake are fully combined.
Form cake balls that are around 1 inch in diameter. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring after every 30 seconds until melted.
Dip the lollipop or skewer sticks in the melted chocolate. Pierce each cake ball with the stick, melted chocolate side in the cake ball.
Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, and immediately top with the sprinkles. Place on the baking sheets and freeze for around 5 minutes.
Store the cake pops in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to serve.
