Easy Cake Pops
These cake pops are so easy to make, and so much fun! Only 3 ingredients involved.
Ingredients
- 1 store bought cake (I used a McCain deep and delicious cake)
- 1 ¾ cups chocolate chips
- sprinkles
- lollipop or wooded skewer sticks
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Set aside.
- Scrape ⅓ of the frosting off of the cake. Reserve for another use. (I would suggest spreading it on cupcakes!)
- Scrape the cake and the remaining frosting into a large bowl. Mix until frosting and cake are fully combined.
- Form cake balls that are around 1 inch in diameter. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring after every 30 seconds until melted.
- Dip the lollipop or skewer sticks in the melted chocolate. Pierce each cake ball with the stick, melted chocolate side in the cake ball.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, and immediately top with the sprinkles. Place on the baking sheets and freeze for around 5 minutes.
- Store the cake pops in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to serve.
